Solar for Schools Education - Developmenteducation

CPD Sessions

We offer professional development training on solar, energy and sustainability, for making real and lasting change.

Designed by experts

Sessions are designed by our Head of Education, Wendy Litherland, who has 25 years Science teaching experience, with 18 of those spent as an award-winning Director of Sustainability, and later years in senior leadership. Wendy is supported by a team of people from an education and sustainability background.

Lead to tangible outcomes

We won't waste your time with useless material or unattainable outcomes. As teachers ourselves, we understand the challenges involved in teaching, as well as your drive as an educator wanting to make a difference.

Customised to the needs of your school

Our sessions are not a 'one size fits all' approach. They are designed to help you make use of what you already know and have access to as a teacher, and what is right for your school and your students.

How to write a Climate Action Plan

Involve the whole school community, based on your school's needs. We can deliver this as a CPD training to initiate sustainability in school, or embed what you have already, working with other providers offering free services.

Embedding your solar project across your curriculum

From data to videos, lesson ideas to actual kit, all resources can be embedded into different subjects and stages of the curriculum. We're here to guide the novice and the expert.
